Wimborne funeral directors
Planning a funeral for a loved one can be difficult. You can trust our Wimborne funeral directors to make the process easy. We have years of experience organising Wimborne funerals and Wimborne cremations (as well as helping clients all around Dorset) and have won awards for our funeral plans. We’ll make sure that the service is everything you and your loved one would have wanted, helping you to work within your budget as best we can.
Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors Ltd was founded in 1974 and has remained a family business with three generations now working for the company. Over the years, we have branched out across Dorset – setting up two other funeral homes, whilst continuing to run our original Wimborne funeral home. If you’re looking for independent funeral directors in Wimborne or the Dorset area, then we are the right company for you.
Our family funeral directors in Wimborne are able to help you with a variety of services. Here are just some of the services that we are able to provide.
Burials are still a popular option – we help to organise many burials and can help you find the best location. This includes helping clients to find the right burial ground and the right space to meet their loved ones’ budget and personal preferences. Most burials take place in parishes and cemeteries, but we are also able to arrange woodland burials. You can even come to us if you’ve like to reserve your own burial spot for when you pass away (there is a growing shortage of burial space, making it worthwhile planning early).
Most of our Wimborne funerals are cremations. We can help you to organise the cremation your loved one would have wanted right down to the location of the crematorium to the style of service (will it be religious or non religious, and what music will there be?). There are many crematoriums in the area to consider – we can help you to find which one is best for your needs. We will also help you to decide what to do with the ashes. These could be scattered, buried, taken home or even partially turned into jewellery.
Pre-paid Funeral planning
On top of helping to arrange funerals for deceased relatives, we also help clients who may want to plan their own funeral in advance. Such funeral have many benefits: they can prevent your loved ones having to plan and pay for your funeral and they allow you to organise all the details that you want. Our funeral payments all go through Golden Charter, so that you can rest assured that your money will be kept secure. You can choose to pay the full amount all at once or you can pay in instalments. You also have the freedom to change your funeral plans at any time – we will help to amend the costs if your want to add or remove anything.
A select number of funeral homes in the UK are able to offer SAIF bereavement care and we are one of them. Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult events that we have to go through in life and many people require support. We can help to provide this support, offering free phonecalls, email support or face-to-face counselling, so that you always have someone to turn to.
Why choose us?
There are lots of reasons to choose our independent funeral directors in Wimborne.
Firstly, we have a great team of staff – many of whom have served us for years. Nicholas O’Hara – the founder after whom the funeral company is named – remains the current managing director of the company. A number of other funeral directors are also employed by our company, who have remained with us for a long time. All of our staff are highly trained and professionally qualified. With our experience and expertise, you can be sure that your funeral will be everything you wanted.
We have three locations spread out across Dorset. This allows us to serve clients across the county without them having to travel too far. All of our premises come with 3 Chapels of Rest, family arranging rooms and disabled facilities. We welcome you to come to one of our locations and meet us in person.
Another selling point is our silver fleet of Jaguar’s to ensure that your funeral is carried out in style. This include hearses for deceased, limousines for carrying mourners and a private Mercedes ambulance for carrying the deceased initially from their home.
We are also a multi-award-winning funeral company. We’ve won Regional Funeral Planner of the Year four times since 2010 and have also won Blackmore Media’s Family Business of the Year and Excellence in Customer Service. We like to go the extra mile to help our clients and to put ourselves ahead of other Dorset funeral directors.
If you’d like to find out more about our family funeral directors in Wimborne or any of our other funeral homes, don’t hesitate to contact us. You can call or email us to arrange a meeting where we can over the arrangements you’d like, as well as discussing costs. We’re able to give quotes in writing and can help you to work within a budget.
